You’ve
been introduced to the concepts of psychological type.
You’ve taken the MBTI and have clarified
your preferences. You’ve
developed some understanding of how differing preferences impact your
personality and your interactions with others.
So
where can you go from here? You’re
ready to explore
the next level of type – its dynamics and development.
Type
differences are more complex than the characteristics associated with
each separate preference. The
interaction among the
preferences is the key to understanding personality type at a deeper
level. This hands-on,
interactive workshop will focus on the role of type dynamics in basic
learning preferences, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
You’ll also learn how your inferior function (Jung called it
the gateway to our shadow)
displays itself when you are tired or under stress.
You’ll learn how to turn these normally negative eruptions into
positive learning models for future development.
This
workshop starts with a basic overview of Jung’s model of type
development, then covers the influences that cultural
values, gender, family, education, and individual
circumstances also play in our lives.
What happens when our natural preferences are not supported early
in life? What about the
changes we experience during midlife?
How can we recognize shadow
experiences and benefit from them?
Workshop participants will each receive a comprehensive
workbook, numerous handouts, and personalized assessments that will help
them understand and facilitate their on-going type development. .
